The "SANNA" is a new ship that will be launched in spring 2012. SANNA is built as a trawler with ice reinforced hull (NV +1.a.1., Ice 1A) with the purpose to be a multipurpose research vessel. The ship will be carried out a great number of fishing cruises, hydrographical cruises and multi-disciplinary cruises.
The target area is West Greenland water - mainly inshore.
Onboard scientific equipment:
SANNA is designed for Arctic marine research. The main deck will be equipped to serve the activities related to the main issue as research vessel. The aft part of the main deck is an open working deck served by flexible crane, one A-frame, winches and working containers cold be placed in different positions. The forward part of the main deck is the area for CTD-lab, wet and dry laboratories, chemicals handlings room, freezing room and cooling room.
The CTD platform located midships is sheltered so that it is possible to work even at low temperatures. (1) wet fish laboratory with high-quality heave-compensated scales, (2) a dry fish laboratory with stereo microscopes, PCs, freezer and (3) chemistry laboratories. Computer facilities will be a 100MB high speed PC network will be installed.
SANNA have observations post for whales and birds, including a 230 V AC and access to computer network.

Modality of access under this proposal: Access due to agreement with the owners. Our approach is that a user will be given access to the entire infrastructure and all scientific equipment available for 8 days in the West Coast of Greenland. The requested cruise activity will be fully supported to the extent that we support our own cruises.
Support offered under this proposal: A package of support is offered, according to specific agreement in each case. Our overall approach is that a user will receive the complete technical and logistical support to the extent that we support our own cruises.
