Features:

Multipurpose research vessel which carries out a wide variety of survey operations in offshore as well as deep sea locations, including fisheries surveys, acoustic and oceanographic surveys, buoy handling operations, environmental sampling, and geological and hydrographic surveying. Complies with the noise requirements of ICES CRR Report 209. Can accommodate 7 x containerized Labs. The vessel is fitted with Dynamic Positioning which allows it to be an excellent platform for ROV operations. Fitted with full hydrographic/oceanographic instrumentation suite.

Features

3000M rated high power ROV featuring multiple cameras including HDTV, capability to accommodate a wide variety of sensors including CTD and multibeam. Fitted with survey skid with hydraulic drawers to allow wide variety of user equipment to be carried. Multiple spare ports for user equipment. System is supplied with full launch and recovery system and 20’ workshop and control containers. System is designed to be operated from RV Celtic Explorer (as well as other vessels if required).

Availability for EUROFLEETS

The Holland 1 ROV is being made available to the EUROFLEETS project for a total of 14 days with the RV Celtic Explorer for 1 or 2 surveys. The annual availability is as per the RV Celtic Explorer.

Availability for EUROFLEETS:

The RV Celtic Explorer is being made available to the EUROFLEETS project for a total of 14 days with or without the Holland 1 ROV for 1 or 2 surveys. The vessel will be available annually for work in the North Atlantic from January to mid September. The vessel also operates in the North Sea on occasion (typically in late winter and summer) and could mobilise in the North Sea or in a port on transit route to/from Ireland if required.

Travel and shipment costs:

Travelling costs for cruise participants and the shipment of equipment to the port of mobilisation and back from the port of demobilisation will be reimbursed up to a maximum of 15.000€. If higher costs are incurred they have to be covered by the applicant.

Requirements for scientist:

Seafarers medical examination and STCW recognised Personal survival techniques certificate
