Four laboratories (wet, dry, constant temperature and multi use) offer almost vibration-free work places. The supply of seawater and compressed air is possible in each laboratory. The ship is equipped with several winch systems, cranes, and sonar systems, which allow a wide range of biological and hydrodynamic research applications. The computer system on board continuously captures and stores meteorological, oceanographic and other data as required. Onboard scientific equipment: Echosounders: Navigation echo sounder; 2 fishery echo sounders; net monitoring system; sediment echo sounder; swath echo sounder. Mobile scientific equipment on request: CTD-Rosette. Science support by crew: Deck crew: 24h operations supported; No regular technical support for onboard science systems. Availability for EUROFLEETS: RV Heincke is being made available to the EUROFLEETS project for a total of 6 days for 1 or 2 expeditions. The vessel will be available annually for work in the North Sea and Baltic Sea from February to mid September. Travel and shipment costs: Travelling costs for cruise participants and the shipment of equipment to the port of mobilisation and back from the port of demobilisation will be reimbursed up to a maximum of 19.000€. If higher costs are incurred they have to be covered by the applicant.
