The founding act of the new Pan-European Research Infrastructure, Eurofleets AISBL, was signed in Brussels by the Marine Institute (Ireland), CNR (Italy), IFREMER (France), and RBINS (Belgium) in April 2025.
Eurofleets AISBL aims to strengthen cooperation among Europe’s research vessel operators, accelerate the green transition of research fleets, reduce CO₂ emissions, and improve the shared use of national fleets. It will also help define the standards for research vessels by 2030.
