Eurofleets+ hosted a workshop to provide essential skills and competencies for managing research vessel infrastructure. This workshop was delivered by experienced RV managers from partner institutes and covered topics such as fulfilling the logistical requirements of scientific operators, managing data through the Eurofleets Automatic Reporting System (EARS), and conducting live webinars for a wider global impact. The workshop was open to marine science-related staff and is an opportunity to learn about the latest techniques and best practices in managing research vessel infrastructure. The workshop has received overwhelming response, with a total of 15 applications from 8 different nationalities, including Ireland, the Netherlands, Greece, Portugal, Sweden, Italy, Belgium, and Estonia. Out of the 13 participants selected, 6 are female and 7 are male.
This workshop provided an excellent opportunity for marine science-related staff to learn from the best and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of marine research.
