Lead: CSIC, plus RBINS, IFREMER, HAVST
A two-stage deployment plan will be implemented. Currently EARS V2 is installed on board of the following Eurofleets+ research vessels which are managed by CSIC, IFREMER and RBINS, who are also involved in T3.1.2 and T3.1.3: RV Sarmiento de Gamboa, RV Hesperides, RV Thalassa, RV Garcia del Cid, and RV Belgica. In a first stage (M1–M20) the effective use of the software in the daily routine of these vessels will be fostered in order to fine-tune its settings and functionalities. Furthermore, EARS V2 will be installed on board those vessels selected for Eurofleets+ funded cruises during the first two years of the project. Feedback from users and from the installation will be gathered which will feed into specifications and requirements for task T3.1.2. In the second stage (M25– M42) the upgraded software suite will be installed, with the ambition of having it operational on all Eurofleets+ vessels by the end of the project. This task also includes support services to the users (technicians and scientists) throughout the duration of the project.
